A sign of the Times ?
I feel like life is moving very fast at the moment and I meet more and more people who would once have been middle class New Zealanders who are now struggling to make ends meet. Mums are returning to work when babies are still very young because  they have to.
I remember coming to NZ at age 12 and thinking what a wonderful place this is and it still is but very few get to enjoy it. People are working longer and longer hours to pay huge rents and mortgages am not sure where it will all lead but hope fully we will one day return to a society where people have time for each other and their families.
I would like to see people having time to live again rather than being so busy they do not have time to think. I had a discussion with a Greenpeace member in Pukekohe recently and I pointed out to her that if the social issues are sorted people will have time to think about the environment and the income to make more environmentally friendly choices.
Even though life on the road is becoming a lot more expensive than it was I love it and being able to stand back and look at things a bit more impartially helps.
My passion is to help people to have the courage to reach for a life they enjoy and a means of earning a living which has meaning and value for them.
