Life happens

In the last two weeks it has been time to start back at the fairs, hear about everyone winter experiences and adventures and catch up.
I also had to visits to Whakatane Hospital with possibly appendicitis but apparently it is not cute enough
( acute) to do anything about it, so I guess I better heal my self. Lots of neutral non irritating food and fresh water. And some self healing morning and night seem to be feeling better so it must be working. In Whakatane I meet some fascinating people every time I come here. People very strong in their culture and working in many ways to make life and education better for people.
This weekend is a tad windy, my awning is crashing and banging about and the truck is rocking as long as the awning stays put all will be well.
Last week end was the Kawerau Woodskills, a major event for a town being hit by the economics of this time. It is always amazing seeing the guys climbing up those great big poles.
Well Sunday we all packed up because it was windy and raining heavy. An awning had collapsed and a gazebo took off during the night. Bit of a shame that the weather turned like that. Today is a drying everything out day as my cab gets awfully wet when I put a wet awning etc in it.
