Being Good?

Being Good:
Being good? What exactly is that? Surely it is dependent on opinion, background, culture and preference?
What does good mean to you?
Some people enjoy hurting others but I feel that is not a genuine feeling but an expression of hurt and anger not being expressed and then coming out in bizarre ways.
Just be you, yourself. You are and always were good enough. You are right now a perfect expression of you. No one elses standards involved. Measuring up is not required. What makes you feel good, filled up, enriched and alive. Be real with yourself doing those things is good for you. So there is a whole lot of goodness here and there is no judgement involved.
Be real with yourself and others. That’s all, just be real.
Have you ever been told you were “good’ for not eating the cake on offer? There is nothing bad or good about cake, it is simply a choice, a choice to decide what serves you best right now. I personally think birthday cakes are always good because of the fun involved.
Here are some questions to ask yourself:
Is a tidy house good?
Is having a high paying job good?
Is being thin good?
I could go on but it really depends on what you want, what you prefer. When everyone is having fun, sometimes you get mess especially with children.
It is just an opinion and a preference. If you look at old paintings peoples shapes were quite different. Does your body feel comfortable and performs when you want it to do things? Once again it is a choice or genetics maybe.
Be you that’s what counts! So give up being good and just be you.
Someone once told me I was a good girl (I’m in my forties) for doing a small job for them when I had finished mine. Well no I did not do it to be good, but to get everything done so everyone could relax.
No goodness about it, just choice)
