Reflections
It will be 7 weeks tomorrow wow since I quit smoking.. Time does fly. I was feeling somewhat bored I think today and thinking about smoking. Weird at what times it pops up the gremlin. It needs a smack when it does that lol.
In September before I started this journey I was in A & E twice in Whakatane with suspected appendicitis, had been unwell with an array of bugs over winter including tonsillitis and just working was a struggle. I felt like hell until the 5th October when I quit. Tried no gluten, no coffee probiotics etc had a fever and no strength which is scary at 44 years old. I have to support myself for many years yet so decided to quit.
Within 2 days the pain in my side was gone , the fever was gone and I felt heaps better. Thank god as being a traveller I had no GP near me and was being given the brush off by the health system.
The decision was to take responsibility for my health.
I remind myself of this when I feel like I might fail on this quitting journey and although my body is doing some funny things repairing itself I feel pretty good.
So onward on this trip and forwards
The grey type is very hard to read Fran and read it I'd like to do...
